Hi, I’m Ron Franklin, and this is my Biblical Faith and Society blog.
First, a word about myself. I’m originally from Chattanooga, TN, and graduated from the University of Tennessee with a BS in Electrical Engineering. I worked for a number of years as an engineer and manager for high-tech companies such as IBM and EDS.
Even though I enjoyed my engineering career, I eventually began to feel a call to help people connect to God through Jesus Christ, and live the abundant life He promises to those who follow Him. So, off I went to attend and graduate from Denver Seminary in Colorado. I then became the founding pastor of a local church in Harrisburg, PA.
In this blog I hope to provide a biblically sound perspective on how Christians, and the principles of the Christian faith, should interact with the ever more secular society in which we live.
Politically, I am neither a Republican nor a Democrat, but a registered Independent, because I don’t think either party adequately reflects the heart of God.
If this blog provokes you to think about some issues in a fresh way, I’ll be satisfied that it has done its job.
Enjoy!
Ron Franklin
